Villas of Grand Cypress as one of the top hotels in Orlando

U.S. News & World Report recognizes 2018 Best Hotels
U.S. News & World Report recognized Villas of Grand Cypress as one of the top hotels in Orlando in its 2018 Best Hotel rankings. The luxury golf resort that maintains a more than 30-year legacy in the Orlando area was honored with a Silver Badge Award in the “Best Hotels in Orlando” category, marking the second consecutive year the 146-room hotel has been named to this prestigious list that evaluates more than 24,000 luxe properties across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean.

Villas of Grand Cypress is a hidden oasis tucked away in Orlando’s Lake Buena Vista neighborhood (adjacent to Walt Disney World®) where theme park-goers and city-explorers can find a respite from the swift pace of the world just outside the resort’s gate. Presenting a consistent experience unique to the area, the Villas offers oversized accommodations that deliver all the familiar luxuries of home: 146 suites and villas that feature up to four bedrooms and 2,800 square-feet of space to comfortably accommodate families and groups of varying sizes; full kitchens, living, and dining areas that cater to those looking for a causal night in; large bathrooms with free-standing tubs act as a perfect venue to wash away the day’s mental clutter; and extended patios welcome outdoor gatherings, BBQ grilling, or simply doing nothing at all. This 1,500 acre retreat also packs a comprehensive roster of amenities that rival that of a large-scale resort, including 45-holes of Jack Nicklaus Signature-designed golf, an award-winning golf academy, in-room spa services, a swimming pool, bicycle rentals, fitness center, fishing, and access to the Grand Cypress Racquet Club, jogging and walking trails, as well as watersports on Lake Windsong.
Villas of Grand Cypress Launches Redesigned Executive Meeting Center

Four Star, Four Diamond Orlando resort completes update to multifunctional event complex, new banquet menus roll out
ORLANDO, FL (October 2015) – Villas of Grand Cypress, a member of the Personal Luxury Resorts & Hotels portfolio, today announced the redesign of its Executive Meeting Center, a standalone complex that houses 7,200 square-feet of flexible indoor/outdoor event space. Situated on the resort’s 1,500 acres in Orlando’s Lake Buena Vista neighborhood and framed by the Villas’ 45 holes of Jack Nicklaus Signature-designed golf, the Executive Meeting Center is the latest update to the Forbes Four Star, AAA Four Diamond-rated hotel, following the recent $17 million renovation to its 146 guest rooms.

“Villas of Grand Cypress has an incredible legacy as a leading choice in Orlando’s luxury hospitality market and our meeting and event services are no exception to that,” said Mark Cox, Villas of Grand Cypress general manager. “The redesign of this facility allows us to provide an enhanced space for social and business groups to gather, further building on what is already recognized as an outstanding guest experience.”

The new design of the Executive Meeting Center mirrors the Villas’ calming landscape, delivering a contemporary look inspired by the resort’s sense of place. Neutral color palettes and materials blend with authentic American Cherry wood to sync with the Villas’ tree lined roads, manicured golf greens, and strong architecture. Simple stone tile flooring in the Executive Meeting Center’s public areas is softened by private event spaces with custom carpets suggestive of shaded tree canopies and cool waters flowing over rocks. Crushed stone wall finishes bring unexpected sparkle and depth, while artwork and furnishings add a modern element.

The redesign also adds improved functionality to the Executive Meeting Center: LED lighting and sound systems managed by variable controls allow for personalized set-up; multiple power, phone, and data outlets incorporate another layer of convenience for AV and technology hookups.

Updated catering menus will be introduced this fall, as well. Conceptualized by the resort’s executive chef, Lonny Huot, the new menus will offer the Villas’ superior restaurant quality food in a group setting. Sustainable, local ingredients will be highlighted throughout, following suit with the property’s on-site dining outlets, including the Forbes Four Star-rated Nine18. Southeastern regional cuisine will mix with traditional global fare, prepared and presented using classical techniques with a modern twist.
